Exhibition location : bottom station at the Col de Saint Ignace.
May to November 2007

You can learn all about Le Petit Train de La Rhune in an exhibition about cog railways, why this railway is not quite like the others and why a third rail, the cog rail, is needed to climb to the summit of La Rhune.
The exhibition takes visitors back in time to the creator(s) of the different cog rail systems used both in Europe and the United States.
Many cog railway trains still exist around the world today. Some have been modernised and others like Le Petit Train de La Rhune still use the same technology that was used when it was built.
Visitors can see an illustrated overview of the history of various exceptional cog railways.
